OCR Alpha is currently working with a fast growing, long-short hedge fund headquartered in London. This global firm predominately invests across long/short equity as well as fixed income, commodities, and private investments.
The Role
To support recent growth, our client is looking to hire an experienced Chief Compliance Officer. You will have global coverage and interact with regulators across the UK, Europe, and the Americas. This hire will be supported by a small team and tasked with the further build out the compliance programme and culture at the firm.
You will be the key contact point for the business and manage key relationships, including providing compliance advice and training to the investment team as well as managing real-time queries. You will also look after trade surveillance, compliance monitoring, and central compliance matters.
Qualifications
- Experience operating at a CCO level, including operating as an SMF 16
- Strong understanding of the regulatory compliance landscape across the UK and US
- Long/short equity or multi-strategy experience
- Legal background preferred but not required
- Highly self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a methodical and consistent approach
