Two days in the office, three from homeVacancy Reference: VR/05199Role Description:Bridge Recruitment have been given an exciting opportunity to network for a Head of Bids to join the Team of one of our clients, an innovative Soft facilities company delivering high quality solutions for cleaning, grounds maintenance, and support services within the private and public sectors. Their expertise includes housing associations, education, leisure and commercial properties. As Head of Bids, you will be responsible for two Bid Managers and one Bid Administrator and will have between two and four bids at any one time. The ideal Head of Bids will have proven experience in a similar role, excellent organisation skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking business who are committed to providing a first-class service to its clients.Responsibilities:Manage the business approval process / approvals and the final production and proposal delivery arrangementsEnsure configuration control of key bid documentation and ensure effective communicationResponsible for ensuring quality content is being developed and produced from key contributors to the planned scheduleDevelop and maintain the bid management plan and schedule, gaining understanding from the bid team and key stakeholders / management teamManage any resubmission or clarification activities through to contract awardPrepare and train bid members, as required, in the bid process methods to ensure understanding and adherence to the process, practices and scheduleRequirements:Excellent organisation and management skillsPrevious experience in a similar role, preferably in the housing/public sectorStrong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and lead cross-functional teams effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasivelyIn-depth knowledge of bidding processes, procurement methodologies and contract negotiationsStrategic, analytical and methodical thinkerMature understanding of market dynamics and client needsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, bid management software and Adobe InDesignSkilled writer and editorProfessional certifications such as APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or similar are desirableAbility to travelComprehensive understanding and experience in the management of the Bid Management processHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage to a challenging deadline
