Technical and Maintenance Manager Liverpool Area Up to £50,000 Days Benefits - Pension Scheme 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holiday (Rising with Service) Great opportunity to grow with a progressive SME I am working with a growing injection moulding business with great ties into multiple industries. Key Responsibilities: Tool Trials: Conduct trials for new processing tools and materials to enhance product quality and efficiency. Strategy Development: Set and implement strategies for controlling and improving the injection moulding process and optimizing operations. Best Practices: Collaborate with the management team to define and promote best practices within the injection moulding department. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with New Product Development (NPD), tool and product design teams to advance process technology and specify capital equipment requirements. Process Development: Lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of injection moulding best practices across the organization. Equipment Specifications: Define specifications for production machines and ancillary equipment to ensure optimal performance. Reporting Tools: Develop and implement reporting tools to measure and analyze injection moulding machinery performance. Sustainable Materials: Explore and assess new material opportunities, focusing on the development of sustainable options. Continuous Improvement: Actively work on continuous improvement initiatives within the injection moulding process. Team Leadership: Provide direction and support to development and setter teams on projects and daily tasks. Data Analysis: Analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports on injection moulding performance. Maintenance: faultfinding and repair on moulding machines, ancillary equipment, conveyors, dryers and robotics, managing contractors and planning maintenance.Qualifications: Time-served mechanical or electrical engineer (mechanical bias preferred). Strong background in injection moulding manufacturing. Experience in fault-finding and repair of moulding machines, ancillary equipment, conveyors, dryers, and robotics. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Experience with planned maintenance, and control of stores and spares. Ability to manage contractors on-site effectively.
