Embedded Software Engineer

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer Location: Stafford, Staffordshire Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum No sponsorship is available   Overview of company and job title: Due to ongoing success and development, an established and well-funded Engineering company based in Stafford (Staffordshire) who specialise in the Industry of Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing are now hiring for an additional brand new Embedded Software Engineer to join the small R&D Team and business following on from the success of hiring a recent Embedded Software Engineer.  This is an exciting time for the Embedded Software Engineer to join because the company has developed an App and will need to build further on their Bluetooth capabilities into Wi-Fi systems and broader connected applications that will include IoT, ESP32, MQTT etc.   Salary on offer: The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer is £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.   The role: The successful Embedded Software Engineer will be involved the full design process from concept to manufacture of Embedded Software that will include Embedded C programming to work around ARM based microcontrollers to maintain existing and develop new test and application code.   Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills: 1-3+ years industry experience Embedded Software Programming in C Experience of microcontrollers – STM32, ARM, ESP32, Microchip PIC Knowledge and experience of RTOS (real time operating systems) Harwdare interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485 Wireless communication technologies - Bluetooth, W-FI, MQTT, etc Experience of bootloader support Ability to read schematic diagrams of circuit designs Proficient use of test equipment – Oscilloscopes, DMM, JTAG debuggers Good interpersonal and good teamwork skills  Benefits Package: Annual holiday entitlement is 32 days paid per full year, calculated pro-rata from 1st January including some fixed days at Christmas and bank holidays.
