Project Engineer

Alexander Steele are currently working in partnership with a multinational food manufacturing business based in the Greater London area. We have been asked to assist the business with the recruitment of a Project Engineer. As the business Project Engineer, you will be a key member of the team responsible for spearheading and managing the delivery of various capital projects across two sites, ensuring that complexity, cost and time-constraints are fully understood and managed. The Role: * Manage the capital project process from concept (scope, benefits, justification) through to completion to ensure that projects are successfully completed; risks to the business are minimised. * Lead project update meetings and continually monitor progress to ensure meeting of specific deadlines and document project status and issues. * Take control and ownership of the delivery of key projects including budget time plan and technical solution * Responsible for all stages of projects from development through to delivery. including, URS creation, early procurement engagement, tendering and supplier selection, Resource, time and cost management * Control of contractors in line with CDM principles. * Contract management The Candidate: * Tertiary qualification or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent * Experience delivering capital projects in a Project Engineer or Project Manager capacity. * Proven capability within a a FMCG or similar manufacturing environment * Strong Project Management skills. * Strong engineering thinking. * High commercial acumen On Offer * £60 000 to £65 000 + Bonus * Pension (6%) + Healthcare (Bupa Cash Plan) * 25 leave days + 8 bank holidays * Hybrid remote working options (4 days in the office) This is an opportunity to really make a difference, drive change and continuous improvement within an impressive manufacturing facility.
