Trading and Operation Specialist

A market leading, global, multi-billion dollar AUM quant strategy Hedge Fund are looking to hire an operations specialist for its recently launched, high performing, London based crypto trading desk. The remit of the role is broad, covering operations (albeit oversight / post-trade analysis as most tasks are either automated or run externally), risk, treasury and P&L responsibilities. The hire will sit with a bank of exceptional crypto traders / investment professionals. There is a strong emphasis on project management / BA work in this role – on a daily basis, the hire will work on multiple automation / efficiency / process improvement projects for hands-on line operations tasks (with the aim of fully automating them). Projects are often run solely / hands-on, but others are working in tandem with, or directing, the technology / quant teams to develop new tools and applications. The hire can expect to learn Python, SQL and GO to an advanced standard in this role. Candidates should have 2-5yrs experience in hedge fund / prop / IB / brokerage trade support. An excellent academic record is a pre-requisite. The candidate should ideally have programming skills in SQL, Python or VBA. The role has a £65-90k base salary band – this allows my client some flexibility on the level that they hire at, but also the opportunity to provide the successful hire with a strong increase on his/her current base. A strong performer will receive up to a 50% bonus year one, with year-on-year growth providing upside beyond this.
