Production Engineer

Production Engineer £30,000 - £40,000 South Wigston Permanent Opportunity Metalis are supporting a global aerospace business in the search for a Production Engineer to support senior management in the development of new product, lead continuous improvement techniques and ensure smooth planning of work. Duties & Responsibilities: To interpret engineering drawings to product detailed work instructions. Using LEAN Methodology to reduce waste and increase productivity in the department. Creation of SOPs/Best practice for CNC programming capability. Managing NPI process updating FAIRs, PPAPs etc. Develop new machining techniques and implementing with the manufacturing team. Deliver key messaging to the wider manufacturing team. Working cross-functionally to ensure production targets are achieved. Able to manage multiple projects at one time. Experience Required: Must have a HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Able to read and understand engineering drawings. Knowledge of the aerospace sector. A clear communicator.
