Plater

We are currently recruiting for an time served PLATER to work within the fabrication team for a large customer based in the South Tyneside area. The Role: * Carry out plating operations following work instructions * Read and understand drawings to ensure that steel is cut to specification * Accurately assemble and ensure that plating is carried out to specification * Cut and prepare plates / sections * Tack welding and other welds when necessary * Assemble fabrication work to pass to welders for final assembly The Person: * Candidates must be time served through a recognised training programme, such as time served apprenticeship * Experience of reading and understanding engineering drawings * Experience with using fabrication equipment
