The Role:
As an Procurement Specialist you will:
- Support supplier consolidation and help meet cost savings and working capital goals.
- Minimise total product and process costs through cost reduction efforts and innovative procurement practices.
- Manage supplier selection and maintain key external supplier relationships.
- Lead negotiations and manage complex supplier relationships.
- Identify and implement solutions for dual-sourcing, negotiation, category strategy, and supplier management.
- Lead process improvement opportunities to enhance service, speed, or cost.
- Implement and negotiate agreements for complex supply relationships.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Category Specialist role will have:
- Over 5 years of procurement experience.
- Expertise in direct materials, GFR, converting, assembly, or kitting.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience in stakeholder and supplier management.
- Experience in a manufacturing organisation.
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and managing large data sets.
- Knowledge of SAP navigation.
