Assistant Design

Job Role: Assistant Design Manager Location: Wakefield Salary: £35,000/£45,000 (DOE) Assistant Design Manager required on a permanent basis for one of our regional construction clients based out of the Wakefield office. With a solid pipeline of projects for 2025/6 our client is expanding their design team and is looking for an Assistant Design Manager to work on projects within the education, healthcare, commercial, distribution and industrial sectors up to £20M in value. The Role: * Design Management / Coordination of projects. * Manage the flow of design information, conduct design-gap reviews, develop value engineering proposals and to risk-manage the design development process. * Work with the project teams, clients, designers and subcontractors to ensure optimal design solutions are employed. * Deliver a design and sequence that can be delivered safely and maximise profit opportunities. * Design gap analysis * Consultant appointments including, Scope of services, Matrix of responsibilities etc. * Attend and chair Design Team Meetings to ensure the timely flow and release of quality information and to ensure that this information is in line with contractual obligations. * Produce technical information for company pre-qualification presentations.
