Major Players are working with a leading independent agency, we are looking for a Business Director who will be responsible for shaping the future of high-profile entertainment and gaming accounts. Working with creative teams, creative services, production staff and new business team - the Business Director will be crucial in driving growth and maintaining a strong, profitable relationship with the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and nurture client relationships, ensuring the successful delivery of strategic and creative solutions that meet business objectives.
  2. Collaborate with Strategy and Creative teams to develop compelling communication briefs and drive the strategic direction of creative work.
  3. Oversee account profitability and identify opportunities for revenue growth, ensuring the appropriate resources are allocated to maximize success.
  4. Manage contracts and fees in partnership with the Head of Client Services and Commercial Director, while ensuring financial health of the business.
  5. Inspire and guide your team, fostering professional development and excellence, and lead cross-functional teams across the agency.
  6. Report key financial and performance data to senior leadership and manage agency systems to ensure smooth operations.
  7. Support new business pitches and recruitment efforts for the Client Services team.
  8. Work closely with internal teams including agency leadership, account planners, creative directors, and finance.
  9. Engage with external stakeholders, such as client marketing teams, procurement, and other agencies within the client's roster.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams across the agency.
  2. Ability to translate client needs into effective communication briefs and guide the strategic direction of creative work.
  3. Strong background in managing and growing client relationships, ensuring account profitability, and identifying new business opportunities.
  4. Experience in managing account budgets, negotiating contracts, and ensuring financial health through close collaboration with finance teams.
  5. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate strategies and creative ideas to clients and internal teams.
  6. A proactive approach to identifying challenges and opportunities, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions.
