Production Supervisor

Title: Production Supervisor Location: South London Salary: £38,000-£42,000 per annum Term: Permanent Benefits: Condensed 4-day week, full training and development, pension, medical aid, 18 days holiday + bank holidays SRG is working with a leading manufacturer of coatings and speciality resins, based in South London. With the business growing, they are now looking for a Production Supervisor to join the team on the manufacturing floor. The role will be hands-on, operating machinery across various production lines as well as supervising Production Operatives. It would be well suited to someone with previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, who has good problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic. It should be noted that this role is not lab-based or office-based and will involve heavy lifting and working in a busy chemical manufacturing environment. Role / Description Assisting the Manufacturing Manager in daily manufacturing operations Working across various production lines, operating blending tanks, reactors, distillation units and decanting product into containers Correct weighing of raw materials to ensure minimal waste Supervising Production Operatives; including allocating tasks and workstations, ensuring production targets and quality specifications are met, and that production records are updated Supporting the organisation of production to achieve cost efficiency and high product throughout Adhering to and promoting Health & Safety, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards Investigating and/or reporting production issues as required Requirements Good work ethic, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn Previous experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment Strong appreciation of Health & Safety awareness Experience of mixing/blending, production or processing of paints, coatings, resins or polymers advantageous is highly advantageous SRG is the UK's number one recruitment company specialising in the scientific, engineering, clinical, pharmaceutical, food/FMCG, energy & renewables, biotech, chemical and medical device sectors.
