Job Title: Senior Engineer - New Build RC Frame Development Location: Glasgow Company: Main Contractor Employment Type: Full-time About Us: Our client is a leading construction firm specializing in new build residential dwellings. As they embark on an exciting new build RC frame development, we are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. Role Overview: As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, planning, and execution of our new build reinforced concrete (RC) frame development. You will lead engineering efforts, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the design and analysis of RC frame structures, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. * Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers to develop innovative solutions and optimize designs. * Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff. * Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. * Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. * Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. * Ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained and up-to-date. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on reinforced concrete frame systems. * Main contracting experience is a must * Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects. * Proficient in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, etc.). * In-depth knowledge of building codes, design standards, and construction methodologies. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
