Job Title: Carpenter

Job Summary:
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join the maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of repair, maintenance, and refurbishment tasks across the site. The Carpenter will ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carpentry Work:
- Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including but not limited to door and window installation/repair, furniture assembly/repair, shelving, skirting, partition walls, and other woodwork.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials for construction and repair tasks.
- Install and repair locks, handles, hinges, and other fixtures.
- Refurbishment Projects:
- Participate in refurbishment projects, including renovations and modifications of existing structures.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure smooth and efficient project completion.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and the sequence of tasks.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to identify potential hazards and repair needs.
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including materials used and time spent on tasks.
- Report any issues or delays to the Maintenance Supervisor in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience and track record working as a Carpenter.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in carpentry or a related field.
- Experience in general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, tiling, plastering, and painting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Must have UK driving license
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
