Deputy Head of Information Security

We have an excellent permanent Deputy Head of Information Security job opportunity. The role is hybrid working in Birmingham.

Candidates applying for this role should have the following skills and experience:-

• Certifications – must have formal certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA)
• Education – degree level
• Leadership, strategy planning, security team experience; managing and developing a team
• ISO, PCI, NST, Cyber Essentials, NIST CSF (not just data privacy)
• Governance, policies/standards development, maintenance, and implementation in a large organisation
• Experience of drafting and reviewing policies and standards
• Risk & Compliance management using security frameworks e.g. ISO 27001
• Experience of regulatory environment e.g. data privacy DPA 2018 & GDPR
• Experience of working with and establishing relationships with security agencies
• Incident Response
• Security / architecture design experience
• Experience in carrying out security reviews
• Presenting and communicating skills
• Being able to deputise for the Head of Information Security
• Supply chain and vendor management
• Collaborate with IT / Finance and procurement
• Experience with NHS Digital/England Toolkits or development of information security training is desirable.
