Metal Polisher/Finisher
£12p/hr - £14p/hr DOE, Temp role, Days, Mon-Fri
CHESTERFIELD
I am looking for an experienced Metal Polisher/Finisher to work on an initial 2 3 month Temp contract for a busy Manufacturing company based in Chesterfield.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and polishing a wide range of Stainless-Steel components to a high-quality finish, keeping to strict deadlines. Day to day tasks will involve:
-Expertly polishing stainless-steel components to achieve flawless finishes.
-Safely operating a variety of fixed equipment and hand tools.
-Adhere to all safety guidelines and operating procedures.
-Collaborating with the Foreman to ensure timely job completion.
-Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of your work area and equipment.
-Performing fettling, grinding, and deburring tasks.
-Smoothing and polishing weld seams to a high standard.
-Assisting with general warehousing and ad hoc duties where required.
You will ideally have a minimum of 1 year previous experience working as a Metal Polisher/Finisher. Other key skills include:
-A sharp attention to detail, ensuring all work meets quality specifications.
-The ability to work independently and take initiative.
-A strong work ethic and the commitment to meet deadlines.
-Punctuality and reliability
You will be required to work 7am to 4pm from Monday to Thursday with a 3pm finish on a Friday. The role is advertised as an initial 2-3 month Temporary contract, with potential for this to be extended or made Permanent and has a Pay Rate of between £12p/hr to £14p/hr Depending on Experience.
