The CCTV & Security Service is part of the council s Public Safety Division and plays an integral role in developing and implementing policy in the area of critical and major incident management. The service provides the necessary assurance with regard to the Council s readiness and preparedness to respond to significant events as a Category 1 responder outlined within the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. The service has developed a strong cross-council approach towards ensuring that there are robust arrangements in place to enable the Council to deliver effective and timely responses to a broad range of critical incidents in conjunction with partner organisations and ensuring our local communities are resilient.
The Head CCTV & Security will lead the delivery of a wide range of initiatives designed to ensure full scale compliance with the relevant legislative framework and Regional Guidance. The post holder will play a central leadership role in the continuous development, evaluation and improvement of a wide range of Council policies and initiatives
The post-holder will also lead the Responsive Security Patrol which is critical to the wider work of the Public Safety Division and work closely with the council s emergency management team.
