CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE Our client is a world class, Global Manufacturer, providing high quality precision components to multiple sectors including aerospace and automotive. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a CNC Miller (CNC and Manual) to use and operate various milling machines to produce dies and machine parts in support of production areas of the business. NB: This role will start on Day shift, and after 12 months, will move to an Early/Late shift rotation (Pay rates / Hours below) (*We also have CNC Turner and Grinder roles in North Tyneside, and CNC Turner Roles in Newton Aycliffe - Please ask for details) KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Programming, setting, and operating 3 axis Milling machines. (Doosan DNM 670) * Programming, setting and operating conventional XYZ milling machine. * Tool repair and maintenance. * Manufacturing tooling for use in compression and injection moulding to high tolerances. * Manufacturing Carrier plate assemblies. * Participating in continuous improvement activities in the tool room * Maintaining and managing supply of consumables * Working on own initiative to interpret engineering drawings * Solving engineering problems to deliver on production timelines QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES ESSENTIAL * Time served apprenticeship in relevant Engineering discipline. * Experience in the manufacture of High-quality Milled components. * Experience working with Jigs, fixtures and various work holding devices. * Extensive Knowledge of Tooling (inserts/speeds/feeds) * Ability to program Doosan machines with Fanuc * Experience in working with Mould tools and how they fit together. * Can read and interpret Engineering drawings. * Working to tight tolerances and timelines. DESIRABLE * HNC / HND or similar in engineering * CAM experience (fusion360/Feature Cam) * 5 axis Milling experience (future development) DETAILS OF PACKAGE Day Shift Initially for 12 Months: £38,008 PA + Overtime + Competitive Benefits *Rising to £41,952 PA after 12 Months when the role moves to an Early/Late Shift Rotation + Overtime + Competitive benefits (37 Hour week): Day Shift: 07.00-15.30 (Mon-Thurs) 07.00-12.00 (Fri) Early / Late Shift Rotation: Earlies: 06.05-14.35 (Mon-Thurs) 06.05-11.05 (Fri) / Lates: 14.25-22.55 (Mon-Thurs) 10.55-15.55 (Fri). 29 days holiday + Bank holidays / Health Care / Counselling Support / Competitive Pension / Onsite parking / Life Assurance
