Senior Financial Controller - London, 3 days in office - £90k - £100k
Have you got 3 years+ as a Financial Controller within a Creative agency, driving change?
My client is looking for a Senior Financial Controller with a proven track record of leading financial operations within growing and fast paced agencies. The right candidate will have experience implementing pratices and driving change.
This role is perfect for someone who has strong strategic experience but is also happy to be hands on and get involved in tasks, as and when needed.
These guys have a great company culture, and work in a start-up enviroment. They hold a collaborate enviroment with regular social events, so personality is also an important factor for them.
Please note: this is not a FD position as they do have a CFO in their parent company who will provide guidance. This is perfect for a Financial Controller with strong experience looking to take the next step.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Strategic Partnering: You’ll play a key role in business-critical decisions, offering substantial financial insight to guide the board's commercial strategy.
- Financial Management: Oversee financial systems, policies, and processes for comprehensive planning, reporting, and analysis.
- Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring both professional growth and operational excellence.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with client teams and senior management to prepare budgets and forecasts that drive business performance.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to enhance systems and processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting: Provide financial input for monthly and quarterly reports, making sure they are digestible for non-financial stakeholders.
- Month-End & Compliance: Ensure timely preparation of management accounts, variance analysis, and statutory submissions.
- Cashflow Management: Oversee AP/AR processes, ensuring strong cash flow management and forecasting.
- Communication & Culture: Build an open, high-performance culture where financial practices are well understood across the business.
What are they looking for?
- Qualified Accountant: ACA, CIMA, or ACCA
- Experience in leading finance teams within creative agencies or SMEs.
- Multinational Expertise: Comfortable managing global transactions and working with multinational companies.
- Analytical & Commercially Astute: Strong budgeting, analytical, and financial planning skills, with the ability to offer strategic, forward-thinking insights.
- Leader & Mentor: You inspire and motivate others, fostering a team culture rooted in emotional intelligence, accountability, and resilience.
- Adaptable & Agile: You excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, bringing clarity and structure to complex business challenges.
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced Office 365 skills, experience with various finance systems (NetSuite, Jira), and an eye for process improvements.
- Effective Communicator: Exceptional at distilling complex financial information for stakeholders at all levels.
