Software Developer - Virtual Reality

At eXRt intelligent Healthcare we do awesome things with VR to improve healthcare. We are medical technology start-up company and due to expansion, we are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and driven Virtual Reality Software Developer to join our team to help us make a real change to healthcare with the next generation in medical device technology. You will join our small but talented and pioneering team. The role will involve work on our exciting new product, developing it for the healthcare market helping many people lead a more independent life. The role will involve predominantly working with the Unity game engine. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the necessary coding languages and technical procedures, as well as the ability to clearly explain and demonstrate their approach to colleagues in an effort to create clean, efficient code using the agile methodology. Responsibilities and Duties Write and maintain clean, commented code individually and as part of a team Troubleshoot and debug a variety of day to day development issues Provide creative and innovative solutions to help optimise applications for VR output Work with other team members to integrate, test and build multiple features Write documentation and reports where required Skills and Experience Required Working knowledge of the Unity Game Engine Experience in programming in C# Have completed a significant Games or VR project Good communication skills Great to have AWS cloud platform experience Experience working with Meta/OpenVR SDKs Experience in using Git or other version control tools Experience deploying android application from Unity Experience creating multiple player/ multi-user VR experiences Experience in client and server-side Web Development technologies (JavaScript, PHP & SQL, React, Node.js) Experience using any agile project management tools (JIRA, Asana, Trello etc.) Qualifications 2:1 or first in a Computing or related degree or ability to demonstrate equivalent work experience Personality Team player: team fit is important Good communication skills Passion for keeping up with latest computing, games and VR tech Hard working willing to put the work in when pressure is on Adaptable comfortable to adapting to changes in work tasks to meet demand and speed up deliverables Work remotely: Yes.
