Our client, specializing in the developing and manufacturing subsea equipment are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to join their team on a full-time staff basis to drive growth and market presence. ROLE This role is crucial for driving growth and expanding the clients market presence both domestically and internationally. RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services. Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share and revenue. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including foreign partners and agencies. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their needs. Sales Management: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth. Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients. Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term relationships. Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients. Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively. Collaboration and Coordination: Asist in the writing of marketing documentation to support the companies’ products. Attend trade shows/fairs to market company products and liaise with potential customers. Identify trade shows which would be good marketing opportunities for the company Organise stands at trade shows and liaise with engineering team and partner companies to develop product demonstrations and marketing materials. Assist in the authoring of academic papers, attending relevant conferences and periodically presenting papers to support company internal and external objectives. Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management. Use data and insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in business development, sales, and client relationship management ideally within the subsea market but not essential. Understanding of international markets and experience working with foreign partners. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Essential Skills: Focus on quality Fluency in English language is essential for this position due to the international nature of the company’s supplier, client and partner activity. Willingness to build and grow together with the company. Communicate clearly and professionally by email, on the phone and in person. Respond quickly to changes in priorities, manage ongoing tasks and priorities. Follow instruction while also leading and improving company systems & procedures. Preferred Skills: Experience in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment. Knowledge of, or background in, electronics and their use in the subsea environment. Understanding of system integration Multilingual abilities are a plus
