Job Title: Structural EngineerLocation: YorkshireDepartment: EngineeringAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled, experienced and motivated Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for the structural design of a variety of engineering projects, collaborating closely with the sales and estimating teams. This role will see you produce detailed structural designs and calculations, supporting the design team in creating accurate fabrication and erection drawings.Key Responsibilities:Develop structural designs for diverse engineering projects, primarily focused on steel and aluminium structures.Provide structural calculations to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards.Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to ensure project designs align with client expectations.Work closely with the design team to enable the production of fabrication and erection drawings.Utilize Tekla Structural Designer to create and refine structural designs.Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent.Registered with the relevant professional body.Proven experience in structural design with a focus on steel and aluminium.Proficiency in Tekla Structural Designer software.Strong understanding of relevant structural codes and standards.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Applications should have UK based experience.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company working on a wide range of projects.
