Job Title: Quality Systems Engineer

Reporting To: Senior Quality Engineer

About the Role

This role is responsible for leading and supporting the implementation and sustaining QMS, automotive, company and customer specific requirements into the business.


This role also includes:

  • management of document control and related systems
  • coordination of internal audit processes, and conducting regular audits
  • regular communication, meetings and audit with customers


The role may also require support in other relevant areas of the business.


Your Responsibilities

  • Support quality management and site management objectives and tasks
  • Support quality management and site management reporting requirements
  • Contribute towards the development and delivery of department and individual objectives to maintain/improve department and business performance
  • Lead the development and embedding of the plant’s QMS system and customer requirements
  • Lead customer & 3rd party audit preparation and audits, developing and driving improvement plans as required
  • Lead internal auditing across the plant (safety, systems, processes, etc.), including the non-conformance management
  • Implement and facilitate the change management process for the plant
  • Manage the document control system
  • Liaison with external parties as required (customers, suppliers, etc.)
  • Provide regular feedback through various mechanisms i.e. daily, weekly and monthly reviews
  • Ensure safe operating procedures are adhered to all times
  • Support coaching and development activities as required
  • Maintain responsible systems and metrics, including reporting as required
  • Other duties commensurate to the role



Who we are looking for


Essential

  • Experience of quality management systems, with creation of procedures and rolling out through business
  • Good understanding of automotive requirements (IATF16949)
  • Familiar with customer specific requirements
  • Experience of change management processes
  • Excellent organization skills and management of priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to all levels of internal and external customers
  • Computer literate, including MS office applications
  • Previous experience of leading and coaching teams
  • Experienced auditor
  • Resilient, self-driven and positive approach
  • Prepared to work within remit and across functions/levels as required
  • Systematic and logical approach
  • Flexibility


Desirable

  • Nissan ANPQP experience
  • Experience of working within the automotive sector
  • IATF16949 Lead-auditor
