Piping & Auxiliary Systems Design Engineer

Our client is poised for rapid growth, especially in export markets, and is now looking for a versatile, forward-thinking Design Engineer to help contribute to this exciting phase of expansion!
Role Summary
As a Piping & Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and integration of piping systems and related auxiliary mechanical systems for marine projects. This role requires a deep understanding of piping design and system integration, ensuring all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. You will collaborate closely with Project Engineers, CAD Engineers, and the Principal Naval Architect, contributing to the success of the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development
Develop detailed piping systems designs, including schematics, layouts, and 3D models using CAD software.
Design mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and project specifications.
Conduct fluid dynamics and pressure drop calculations, pipe sizing, and material selection.
Perform stress and fluid dynamics analysis to ensure system integrity.
Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Essential)
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Desirable)
Chartered Engineer status (Desirable)
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in piping and mechanical systems design, preferably in the marine boat and shipping industry (Essential)
Skills :
High proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD 2D, Rhino3D) (Essential)
Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register, MCA) (Desirable)
Proficient in MS Office and IT skills (Essential)
Knowledge of shipbuilding and naval architecture principles (Essential)
