At Ham Yard Hotel, we pride ourselves on our innovative cuisine and exceptional dining experiences.As a Pastry Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our culinary team, leading the pastry kitchen with confidence and flair.Responsibilities:Leading and mentoring a team of pastry chefs to ensure high standards and continuous development.Overseeing the preparation and presentation of all pastry items, ensuring quality and consistency.Managing the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen, including order of service and mise en place.Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create new and exciting dessert menus using fresh, high-quality ingredients.Maintaining inventory and ensuring efficient stock control and ordering processes.What you Need:Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting.A genuine love for food and a desire to create innovative and delicious pastries.Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, developing, and motivating a team.High standard of food knowledge and technical pastry skills.Excellent organisational abilities to ensure smooth kitchen operations.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.What We Offer: Competitive annual salary of £45,100 Access to Wagestream our financial wellbeing app. Stream your accrued earnings before pay day, benefit from everyday savings and real time financial coaching.
