Development Manager (PV/BESS)

I am partnering with an established UK developer (PV/BESS) in the search for a project developer. The projects will be utility-scale ground-mount solar and battery storage across the UK. They develop, own, and operate the assets and have all functions in-house, including, development, finance, engineering, and legal.

I have personally placed eight individuals into the UK Development team, therefore I can provide detailed insight into the culture and make-up of the team, they also offer private medical, flexible working, and a leading bonus scheme.

They are looking to grow their project development team, some of the key responsibilities include:

• Managing a project from inception until shovel ready, ensuring it is delivered on time, within scope and budget.
• Execute strategies for greenfield projects, existing projects, and project acquisitions
• Lead on all aspects of the development process including legal, grid planning, and budgetary.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, including managing deadlines, multiple project objectives, project timelines, and success criteria for each

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 3+ years in Project Development in the renewables sector in the UK
• Strong commercial awareness.
• A solid understanding of the energy development processes in England, Wales, and Scotland.
• A working knowledge of project budgets and land agreements.
