Assistant General Manager Cutting Edge Cocktail Bar Concept Location: Oxford Salary: £33,242 + Quarterly Bonus + Fantastic Benefits We are recruiting for a people-focused Assistant General Manager to assist in the running of a popular city centre cocktail bar and entertainment venue with a focus on learning and development. Not only will you thrive on creating a fantastic atmosphere for your customers and supporting the General Manager as Assistant General Manager of the site; you will also drive the learning and development of the team across the entire operation with an enthusiastic and nurturing leadership approach and a passion for people. The role: To help lead a team to deliver fantastic service and standards in a popular on trend bar operation. Managing, training, developing and nurturing the team Drive the learning and development of the site working closely with the L&D and the hourly team. Ensuring correct training procedures are followed. Supporting line managers in relation to decision making (e.g. wage costs/rotas/stocks) Deputising for the General Manager in their absence. Create a fantastic atmosphere and image for the brand to capture return custom. The Candidate: Strong management experience in a bar/pub/restaurant operation. An enthusiastic people-focused leader with a passion for training, developing and nurturing talent. A positive attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills.
