Female Support Worker

If so, we have a great opportunity for you supporting 7 females in Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir.  Your new opportunity  We are currently recruiting 3 x part time  Support Workers (Female Only)  offering between 16-30 hours per week.   This is a permanent role supporting 7 females who have  mental health support needs & learning disabilities . The people supported enjoy a range of different activities and love a day out shopping and socialising. You will support individuals 1:2:1 assisting in their daily lives including cooking, cleaning, activities they enjoy and at times working with the wider team supporting the woman on days out. We are looking for people who have an understanding of mental health and who can support people at times when they show signs of distressing behaviour, each person supported will have a care plan and we are looking for people who can adapt and approach support in a person centred way.  What you will need to bring to the role Understanding of individual mental health support needs  Ability to adapt to changeable circumstances and confident in managing distressed behaviour  Passion for supporting people in a community based setting and accessing opportunities where people can thrive. Excellent communication skills and ability to build long lasting trusting relationships. Resilient, reliable and flexible to be able to work a variety of shifts based on service needs.
