This is an hourly contracted role, remunerated at 30GBP per live lesson hour.


Role Description

As a Psychology Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and facilitating engaging lessons in International A Level (IAL) Psychology and International GCSE Psychology. The role inolves creating comprehensive lesson plans, delivering interactive classes, providing individualized support to students, assigning homeworks, and assessing their progress. Lesson hours per week for 2024/25 academic year are currently between Y13 and Y12, totaling to 6.5 live lesson hours per week. This is subject to change.

Current timetable:

Mondays: 1pm-2pm Y12

Tuesdays: 12:30pm-2pm Y12

Wednesdays 12pm-2pm Y13

Fridays 12pm-2pm Y13


The ideal candidate would be able to takeover the current timetable with no adjustments. The Y13 classes are not able to be adjusted whatsoever, they must remain in these time periods. Y12 timetabling has minor adjustments available. All lessons are scheduled per the UK timezone.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Psychology, Behavioural Science, or related field
  • QTS or PGCE a plus
  • Experience in teaching the British curriculum
  • Experience in teaching/tutoring Psychology of at least 2 years
  • Experience in LMS usage, lesson planning, and educational content creation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in online teaching a plus
