Lead Piping Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to join nexos on a permanent basis in Aberdeen.

You will play a key role in overseeing, producing and maintaining piping engineering deliverables in accordance with industry standards, code, legislation and client specifications. Your regular duties will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of CTR’s and man hour estimates.
• Creating, checking and responding to technical queries.
• Checking and approving detailed design drawings of piping systems & supports in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.
• Providing technical input during detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication and testing of projects.
• Technical and engineering decision making associated with any given scope of work.
• Creation and checking of PED technical files.
• Creating and maintaining company PMA’s.
• Reviewing contractor/vendor designs and reports.
• Carrying out engineering checks on construction workpacks for piping modifications/repair orders.
• Contributing to the development of engineering staff.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Industry.
• Degree Qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Good working knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, ANSI etc.)
• Relevant Offshore Mandatory Requirements (Survival, Medical, MIST, EBS etc.)
• Ability to demonstrate previous experience in the use of AutoCAD 2D & 3D software.
