This manufacturing business are passionate about what they do, sitting in a state of the art manufacturing facility they are the market leaders in their field, currently working across 30 different countries. Their current turnover stands at around 10million and they have plans for global expansion over the next few years. This role is a full-time role, replacing a part time person, the role has been expanded with additional duties due to ongoing growth and the need to have a full-time assistant straddled across finance and operations. As the Project and Finance Assistant you will sit within the Project Management Team working alongside 3 of the Project Managers, responsible for the day-to-day administration such as booking in equipment, arranging, and coordinating all travel and accommodation (UK based and internationally), dealing with project documents on completion along with general administration and co-ordination of their projects. With regards to the accounting side of the role you will work closely with the project managers to ensure they are kept up to date with the financials of their projects, ensuring all costs are inputted correctly to give a real time view of where they are against budget. You will ensure all POs have been raised, deliveries are on site, and all the works orders are entered at month end so the WIP can be calculated accurately. You will also provide additional ad hoc support to the Finance Manager and Operations Manager as and when needed. This will be a fast-paced role within a busy environment, the operational duties can often be very re-active and so it is essential that the successful person has a good attention to detail and is well organized, and not flustered in a busy and fast paced role. Ideally you will have worked within a Manufacturing / Construction environment as being able to understand the process and complexities that manufacturing and production costs have on the overall profitability of the business is key. A transactional finance background would be highly advantageous, along with any PA / secretarial / project admin type experience. But candidates with the right attitude, and some of the fundamentals will be considered. In return the successful candidate could have a strong future ahead of them. There are development routes available into Project Management, or Finance. The business has a low staff turnover, they always look to develop within for hard working and committed individuals that are keen to progress. It is really important the successful candidate has the same values as the company, they are looking for someone to slot in easily to ensure their team focused culture is maintained. Salary for this role is ideally up to £28,000 (may have some flexibility up to £30,000), 25 days holiday, pension and other company benefits. Your hours of 37.5 hours can be agreed upon successful appointment, i.e., starting at 8am or 9am would be fine.
