About the role Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term until 23/07/2025) Pay Grade Dorset Grade 5, Point 5-6 FTE (£23,500 to £23,893) Actual Pro Rata Pay (£16,710 to £16,989, Hourly rate of £12.18 to £12.39) (Pay award pending) The vacancy is a term time position, working 31.25 Hrs Per Week (Monday - Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm including a half an hour lunch duty). Term time only, 38 weeks. A job share would be considered for the right candidates Closing date: 14/10/2024 Midday Interview date: W/C 21/10/2024 Radipole Primary School would like to appoint a teaching assistant to join our friendly and talented team on a fixed term basis, with the possibility of the contract being extended for a suitably qualified or experienced candidate. A vacancy has arisen for us to recruit an enthusiastic, caring and adaptable teaching assistant to work within the school across both KS1 and KS2. The role will involve working with small groups of children and on a 1:1 basis supporting children with SEN need. The pro rata salary shown is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. The salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments and will be adjusted at the start of employment and again if leaving part way through the school year to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year. This role is UK based and your Right to Work will need to be established as part of the appointment process. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Keeping Children Safe in Education Radipole Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
