Maintenance Engineer

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Annual Salary: £40,000, increasing to £43,000 after 6 months Location: Newmarket, Suffolk (with occasional work in Northampton and Peterborough) Job Type: Full-timeWe're looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer. You'll maintain and repair machinery and facilities, ensuring smooth production. Work with operators and the maintenance team to keep assets in top condition. Day-to-day of the role: Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs to minimise downtime and maximise uptime. Engage in hands-on maintenance tasks including repairs, preventative maintenance, fitting, assembly, welding, and sheet metalwork. Respond to reactive maintenance needs, attending to breakdowns and unplanned stoppages. Handle various building maintenance tasks as needed. Work under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and Facilities Director to fit parts, fault find and offer solutions to problems while adhering to the company's preventative maintenance schedule. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and follow all health and safety guidelines. Required Skills & Qualifications: Electrical Maintenance Engineer qualification. Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification is advantageous. Experience with networked PC systems and 3-phase power supplies. Strong fitting and assembly skills, including the use of hand tools. Proficiency in welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering, and other jointing processes.
