Payments Scheme for Permanently Disabled Casework Manager Location:Belfast Salary:£34,834 Hours of Work:39 hours Monday Thursday: 9:00 17:00 Friday: 9:00 16:00 Reporting To:Deputy Director. BlackFox Solutions are working with Relatives for Justice to recruit for a Casework Manager for the Permanently Disabled Payments Scheme. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Casework Management: Play a key role in the development and implementation of advice strategy and policy advice. Be responsible for the management of a high quality, efficient and effective application support operation. Manage a diverse and complex caseload supporting applications to the Payments Scheme and provide advice and information. Develop our case management system, including online applications, ensuring maximising workflow, administrative and reporting processes. To oversee and maintain adequate records of work and provide appropriate statistical returns and to assist with the completion of reports where necessary. To maintain confidential, professional and appropriate records of all client contact. People Management: Manage and support a team of caseworkers to provide support across the casework team to manage complex cases and risk management. To oversee that all evaluation systems and processes are completed fully by the casework team. To attend regular team meetings and line management. Strategy and Compliance: Undertake regular audit functions to include supervision, CPD, insurance and professional accreditation/membership for staff. Provide robust governance by ensuring compliance with all aspects of GDPR, subject access request and document retention policies. Review, implement, monitor and disseminate on an ongoing basis best practice and risk management. Work?collaboratively?with Relatives for Justice to support?and influence the development of service provision and to contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives. Establish and maintain effective links?with other community/voluntary/statutory service providers. Work in partnership with other members of the team as required to prepare funding bids and contract submissions. Review and approve correspondence to third party professionals. Prepare monthly reports for the Deputy Director. The main duties and responsibilities reflect the main elements of those associated with this position. It is not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive. Essential Criteria: Relevant 3rd Level Degree or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience of supervising staff in a busy office setting. Extensive experience of supervision and management systems. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with other statutory/community/voluntary groups. Working knowledge and experience of monitoring and evaluating outputs and outcomes. Previous experience of using computerised monitoring & evaluation systems An understanding of a range of presenting issues and suitable interventions within a client focused setting. Ability to work autonomously and with initiative, including effective prioritisation of tasks and ability to work to agreed aims and objectives. Ability to work flexible hours (including occasional out of hours work). Willingness to undertake training required for the post. Ability to create and sustain effective working relationships and build consensus with key stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Sound knowledge of ICT including all Microsoft Office applications (word, excel, outlook, internet etc.). Excellent interpersonal skills to work within a team and build good working relationships. Excellent management and organisational and skills.
