Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and ambitious VP to join our Technology Investment Banking team in London. As an VP, you will be an integral part of our deal execution and advisory efforts, working closely with senior bankers to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in executing M&A transactions, raising capital, and providing strategic advice to industry-leading companies.Responsibilities:Deal Execution: Play a key role in executing M&A transactions, including conducting financial analysis, preparing marketing materials, and coordinating due diligence efforts. Support the negotiation and structuring of deals to achieve favorable outcomes for our clients.Financial Modeling: Develop detailed financial models to assess the valuation of companies, analyze financial performance, and evaluate strategic alternatives. Utilize various valuation methodologies to support investment decisions and client presentations.Market Research: Conduct in-depth industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics within the TMT sector. Stay abreast of regulatory developments, technological innovations, and macroeconomic factors that may impact client strategies.Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients, including corporate executives, private equity firms, and other financial sponsors. Participate in client meetings, presentations, and pitches to communicate Jefferies' capabilities and insights effectively.Pitch Preparation: Assist senior bankers in developing pitch materials and presentations for potential advisory mandates, capital raising opportunities, and strategic initiatives. Tailor messaging to address client needs and market dynamics effectively.Due Diligence Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate due diligence processes, including legal, accounting, and regulatory reviews. Ensure timely completion of diligence activities and address any issues or concerns that may arise.Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including investment banking, capital markets, and research professionals, to deliver integrated solutions and optimize client outcomes. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to drive success.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.5-7 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related fields with a focus on the TMT sector.Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications.Excellent analytical abilities with a demonstrated understanding of financial concepts and valuation methodologies.Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently under tight deadlines.Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for excellence and a passion for the TMT industry.
