Higher Level Teaching AssistantEalingFull time long termWe are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide support for our KS3 and KS4 curriculum, specifically for students with SEN. In collaboration with the SENCO, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and deliver structured executive functioning and organizational programs, anxiety/anger management initiatives, therapy strategies reinforcement, and Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language programs. Prior experience in supporting students with autism or high levels of anxiety is crucial for this role.The school Offer:Strong team dynamics and excellent working relationshipsOpportunities for on-the-job learning and professional developmentSuccessful Candidates Will:Collaborate with the SENCO, ARC Manager, and Pastoral Manager to enhance the achievement of specific student groupsCoordinate an additional nurture course for students requiring more support than Level 5 TAsAssist teachers in delivering the KS3 and KS4 in-class curriculum to students with SENEnsure effective communication between Learning & Inclusion, ARC, and other stakeholdersServe as the lead TA for up to 6 studentsModel best practices from the EEF guidance "Making Best Use of Teaching Assistants" for the TA team and teachersProvide support to students individually or in small groupsAssist with healthcare, first aid, and personal needs as requiredTake on general responsibilities within the ARC/Learning & Inclusion teamQualifications:Recent experience working with secondary school students and prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar rolePrior experience working with autistic students exhibiting high levels of anxietyDemonstrated energy and enthusiasmAll applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
