C&C Reservoirs is seeking candidates for two Report Writer roles within our UK Content Team.About C&C ReservoirsC&C Reservoirs was formed more than 25 years ago to collect, standardize and synthesize data on the world’s most important fields and reservoirs. We provide our subscribers with reservoir reports, a digital knowledge base, and a suite of powerful data analytics tools, all underpinned by a pioneering classification system, and delivered by our cloud-based subscription service, DAKS™ (Digital Analogue Knowledge System).DAKS is trusted by super-majors, independents, and national oil companies of all sizes, and is used as an essential tool to increase decision quality at all stages of the exploration and production life cycle.Job DescriptionThe Report Writer roles are key in our content creation process. Working in collaboration with other geoscientists, reservoir engineers and support staff, these roles involve the creation of in-depth, high-quality reports that summarize key geological and production-performance characteristics of oil and gas fields worldwide.Candidate SpecificationCandidates should be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of a range of subsurface topics throughout the exploration and production life cycle, from prospecting to development strategies, controls on production performance, reservoir management, improved recovery and EOR techniques. A sound understanding of the above topics and practical experience in upstream application of these principles are necessary to write the quality reports that are the hallmark of C&C Reservoirs’ reputation. Excellent analytical skills, including insight into common exploration and production challenges, problem-solving, and attention to detail are pre-requisites for these positions. These positions will report to functional team leads under the Director of Geoscience. These positions are only open to those with a legal right to work in the UK.Education:Master’s or PhD Degree in Geoscience/Petroleum Engineering or related field (Required)Required experienceUpstream exploration and/or development experience: minimum 10 years, 15-20 preferable.Broad knowledge of upstream oil and gas technical disciplines.High degree of analytical skills, accuracy and thoroughness are essential. Demonstrated effectiveness in working individually to produce technical reports, and within a team working towards group targets.Excellent written and spoken English.
