Finance Director – asset rental group with multiple subsidiaries and more acquisitions in the pipeline! Flexible as to whether potential candidates are based, role will be home based with regular national travel Salary – depending on experience + bonus + benefits This is an excellent opportunity to join a UK asset rental group and help grow it! There is huge growth potential across the multiple markets they serve via their existing group companies. The UK group is part of an international family-owned independent group with businesses in related sectors. They are happy to invest in a number of areas: New locations throughout the country within their existing businesses New equipment Improved sales & marketing strategy Strengthening their teams Improving processes & systems Further complimentary acquisitions Potential candidates should have: Accreditation with a U.K. or Irish Accountancy Body. A detailed understanding of fiscal policy, investment regulations & tax regulations is essential. Minimum 10 years’ PQE with a strong track record of rapid progression, operating at a senior Finance leadership level in a matrixed, multi-site operation. Strong commercial acumen, ideally with experience as a Finance Director within the asset rental/equipment hire industry, or something aligned, such as builders merchanting, industrial services, multi-site B2B distribution etc. M&A & integration experience highly beneficial Understanding of MI & BI software packages and implementing such Experience in pricing and yield analysis would also be beneficial Excellent leadership skills, experienced in people management, highly collaborative with strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are desirable. Proven track record in leading and managing high growth and expansion. Demonstratable capacity to think strategically, and shift to ‘hands-on’ day to day delivery. Can successfully operate in such an environment without the support structures of a larger corporate A proactive, inquisitive, common-sense approach Strong, positive communication skills. Willingness to roll sleeves up and always looking for opportunities to improve the business Fit in with and positively develop the culture within the organisation, ensuring respect for all within the business Responsibilities: Leadership – Leading, motivating and developing the finance function across the group entities, with a focus on the following areas: Financial Reporting, FP&A, Tax and Finance Integration / Transformation. Strategy – supporting the analysis of and shaping the strategy for the Group and entities, supporting further acquisitive and organic growth and investment decisions. Commercial Performance - Supporting CEO and leadership teams, driving the commercial performance of the Group through best practice FP&A processes people and systems, and developing and rolling out a commercially focused business partnering model. Operational – overall responsibility for the financial integrity of Group reporting, and further developing and improving FP&A, KPI reporting and forecasting. Finance Integration / Transformation - leading the financial integration process in terms of both systems and processes. Controls – ensuring robust internal controls in place, along with financial, reporting and tax compliance. The future is bright for this business. Come and be a part of it.
