Finance Business Partner Renewable Energy GroupCentral London (Hybrid, 3 days a week in office) £50,000 - £55,000 + study support + benefits
The Company A Finance Business Partner is sought by a leading green energy business who are undergoing a finance transformation process. This energy services and production business continues to expand with acquisitions, new sites and new services across a diverse portfolio. The group seeks an ambitious Finance Business Partner supporting a number of operations managers in understanding their finances.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner
Periodic review of business performance with Business Directors and forecasting.
Supporting, advising and challenging the Directors on business matters which have a financial/commercial impact
Act as first point of contact to commercial stakeholders to help them grow their business
Supporting, advising and challenging the Directors on strategic direction and management of performance
Month end activities including posting journals to ensure accounts reflect actual performance in the month, working with operations teams and energy analysts to understand any variances to budget, supporting concession directors to present financial performance
Perform balance sheet reviews including debtors/cash and unbilled analysis and ensure all financial guidelines are being followed and provisions have adequate back up
Support annual audit and provide detailed understanding to external auditors
Provide financial support for tenders and new bids.
Track financial performance of JV’s and be key contact to partners
Skills & Attributes of the Finance Business Partner
Qualified accountant or finalist actively studying towards completion (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience finance business partnering would be highly desirable but not essential
Ability to learn fast and enjoy adding value to senior stakeholders
Commercial acumen, as well as a strong understanding of the relationships between key financial and non-financial business value drivers
Evidence of building trust with a team and conveying messages simply and clearly
A high level of adaptability as the business continues to grow; with a positive attitude to innovation and change
