Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 DOE plus Equity options Location: Central London
A leading company in the financial technology space is looking for a
Data & Product Engineer
to join their core product team. This is a unique opportunity to drive the development of innovative systems and products while contributing to data engineering, data science, and analytics initiatives within the organisation. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, hands-on problem-solver with a passion for technology and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities: Product Development
: Collaborate closely with senior leadership to bring ideas and designs to life, focusing on building and enhancing iOS and Android applications. Data Engineering & Science
: Take part in building and maintaining data pipelines, performing data analysis, and integrating data-driven solutions into the product development process. Project Execution
: Take ownership of planning, organizing, and executing technical projects from inception to launch, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to timelines. System Scalability
: Develop high-quality, scalable code across the stack, ensuring seamless user experiences as the platform grows. Technical Leadership
: Lead the creation of engineering standards, tooling, and processes to guide long-term technical development.
Technical Skills & Experience: Required Languages
: Python, JavaScript Frameworks and Technologies
: React Native, Large Language Models (LLMs), LangChain, PostgreSQL, NumPy, Pandas, Docker, REST APIs Experience in Quantitative Trading or Financial Services
: Prior experience in fintech, quantitative trading, or working with financial data is highly advantageous. Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
: Experience with AI/ML technologies, especially in the context of financial services, is a plus. Data Engineering & Analytics
: Hands-on experience with data engineering, data science, and analytics workflows will be highly valued.
