Job summaryPLEASE NOTE: PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLY.Main duties:Covering reception desk (on a rota basis)Answering telephonesArranging appointmentsScanning of clinical documentsSupporting the administration team with our daily "running" task(please see full job description) Main duties of the job4.2ResponsibilitiesTo provide support to all clinical staffTo ensure computers are made ready, telephones diverted and re-diverted, rooms opened for surgeries to commenceDeal with all incoming and outgoing postEnter updated patient information onto the practice clinical systemReceive telephone calls, take messages and respond to enquiriesReceive and deal with any requests for repeat medication as appropriate to the roleDeal with all ambulance booking requestsEnsure collection and distribution of any specimens receivedArrange and maintain appointment systems for the primary care teambooking and cancelling appointments where appropriateEnsure waiting room is tidy at all timesEnsuring locums receive all necessary informationProvide support to the attached staff, to ensure patients receive an efficient serviceResponsible for dealing with actions required on path lab results and correspondenceResponsible for IT issues, problem solving including hardware issues with support from third party provider About usThe Stephenson Medical Practice is looking for a full-time enthusiastic Medical Receptionist to support their Practice Team.The candidate should have previous Primary Care experience. EMIS web experience would be advantageous however training will be given.The Stephenson Medical Practice (12,500 patients)is a well organised training practice with an excellent reputation that employs a Team of Leaders philosophy which recognises the skills and interests of all our team members.
