Group Accountant

Group Accountant / Widnes / £55,000 - £65,000 Accountable Recruitment are proud to be exclusively partnering with our client who are a leading global organisation to recruit a highly skilled Group Accountant. This is a newly created role within this growing finance team. If you have a strong technical background and experience with consolidated reporting, this could be the next step in your career. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the preparation of Group consolidated accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial data. Lead monthly balance sheet reconciliations and associated schedules. Conduct monthly revenue reconciliations between ERP and non-integrated systems. Review and reconcile intercompany balances, ensuring agreements and eliminations are handled efficiently. Manage the preparation of Group and European monthly management reports, providing variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance. Collaborate closely with teams overseas to meet month-end and year-end financial deadlines. Present financial performance and insights to senior management during monthly performance review meetings. Support the budget setting and forecasting cycles, working collaboratively with finance colleagues. Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth year-end processes. Play a vital role in the implementation of a new ERP system. Skills and Qualifications: Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA accountant. Strong technical skills, particularly in consolidated reporting. Experienced producing management accounts for multi-entities (desirable) Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets.
