Data Engineer

We are delighted to be working with a global speciality Insurance firm that are looking to expand there Pricing Data engineering team with an experienced Data engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines in a Spark-based platform to support the Pricing function.
• Develop solutions that enhance Global Pricing’s data-driven approach, leveraging internal/external data and optimising fuzzy merge processes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Pricing Actuaries, and Modellers to create innovative predictive pricing solutions.
• Gain expertise in the company’s IT landscape, data systems, and infrastructure.
• Ensure solutions follow Data Engineering best practices and participate in code reviews.
• Foster a collaborative, results-oriented team culture.
• Assist in developing reporting dashboards and applications as needed.

Experience:

• At least 4 years' experience with Python, SQL and/or PySpark for data solutions, ideally in insurance.
• BSc/MSc in a numerical field, preferably Computer Science or Data Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven expertise in ETL development, integrating multiple data sources into a production warehouse.
• Strong skills in analysing, debugging, and solving complex problems.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of personal learning and development.
