CNC Setter/Operator (Milling or Turning) - Training Provided to Upskill to Programming Level

Location: Leeds
Hourly Rate: 13.50 - 15.50 DOE

Are you an experienced CNC Setter/Operator skilled in milling or turning, and eager to take your career to the next level? We are offering an excellent opportunity in Leeds for professionals to join a forward-thinking engineering team where training will be provided to develop your skills to programmer level.

The Role:
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines, producing high-quality components to precise specifications. Although experience with Fanuc controls is preferred, we welcome applicants familiar with other G-code-based systems. We are looking for individuals with a strong willingness to learn, as we will provide continuous training to advance your skillset to a programming role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling or turning machines
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings
  • Conduct quality checks on finished parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Work efficiently to meet production goals

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (milling or turning)
  • Familiarity with Fanuc or other G-code-based controls
  • Strong focus on detail and quality
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment
