Transport Planner • Permanent • Redditch • Full-time • Upto £35,000 per annum We are hiring for a leading provider of freight, distribution, and warehousing services. With nationwide haulage. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Sales Co-ordinator with experience in the logistics sector, either in a sales or customer service capacity. This is a full-time on-site role located in Redditch, working Hours- 08:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break) The Freight Sales Coordinator will need to have previously worked within the transport and freight industry. The Transport Planner's day-to-day duties are as follows Day to day Route Planning & Scheduling for approx. 30 vehicles. Ensure vehicle utilisation is efficient to maximise cost-effectiveness Ensure scheduling is compliant with Vehicle & Tachograph legislation Liaise with Drivers and Account managers The Successful Transport Planner must have the following skills/experience A minimum of 1 years’ route planning experience Excellent communication & administration skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving business Experience using Transport management systems Knowledge of driver time directive regulations Good geographical knowledge Analytical and problem-solving skills As this is a Live Transport Planning role overtime may be required to maintain service levels when necessary due to the nature of the job and industry.
