Mechanical Technician Mechanical Fitter Rolling Stock Fitter Are you a Mechanical Technician/Fitter seeking a new contract opportunity? Looking for your first Role in Rolling Stock/Already experienced? We are Currently seeking Mechanical Technicians on a contract basis to join a key engineering client based in Cardiff on an initial 3 month contract (with possibility of extension) As an Mechanical Technician, you will be working 50 Hrs per week on Days to start with (approx 2 weeks) before moving on to Nights Monday to Friday for the remainder of the work. In return you will be offered a competitive rate of £26.37Ph PAYE / £35.43Ph UMB.   You will carry out modification and component change out works on Rolling Stock Engines exhausts and any other works requested, no prior experience is required but would be advantageous. You will hold an Apprenticeship or a Level 3 Qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline. Applications are encouraged from transferable industries such as the Army, REME, RAF, The Royal Navy or other vehicular Engineering industries as well as those already in Rolling Stock Succesful candidates will be required to pass a medical drug & Alcohol screening prior to starting any work.
