Job Title: Works Manager Location: Colchester Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior General Foreperson or Works Manager to play a key role in delivering a major highway project involving earthworks, drainage, and road construction. Key responsibilities include: Key Responsibilities: Lead the site team, ensuring a positive and safety-focused atmosphere. Ensure high-quality project delivery and actively engage with customers. Oversee project activities, adhere to NEC contract requirements, and promote community engagement. Support team growth, promoting continuous learning. Ensure compliance with company systems, policies, and legislative requirements. Manage team performance for project profitability.Requirements: Experience: Background in Civil, Structural, or Construction Management, ideally with experience in highways. Skills: Team leadership, technical knowledge of groundworks, RC structures, and reading drawings. Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC contracts, CDM regulations, and programming.
