Quality Manager The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Quality team, ensuring compliance with BRC (British Retail Consortium) standards, and maintaining readiness for unannounced audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety and quality management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team to maintain the highest standards of product quality and safety. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance systems and procedures to ensure compliance with BRC standards. Monitor and audit production processes to ensure products meet established quality and safety standards. Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing training and guidance as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Ensure all documentation is compliant with BRC standards and ready for review during audits. Prepare for and manage unannounced audits by regulatory bodies and customers, ensuring all areas of the factory are always audit-ready. Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify and rectify potential issues before external audits. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes and implement necessary changes. Work closely with production and other departments to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards. Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance to senior management. Develop and deliver training programs for staff on quality assurance procedures and standards. Keep abreast of industry developments and updates to quality standards and regulations, and ensure the team is informed and trained accordingly. CRITERIA: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Quality role within the food manufacturing industry. In-depth knowledge of BRC standards and experience in managing BRC audits. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality assurance methodologies. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
