Production Line Operative/Production Line Leader

10524 Production Line Operative/Production Line Leader Location: Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire Hours of work: Monday – Friday 6:00am - 4:00pm Salary: £26,000 - £27,500 per annum (DOE) plus overtime Duties include: * Leading by example, ensure behaviours and actions are consistently in line with Company Values and our ‘SAFE’ culture and ensuring that all processes and procedures regarding Health, Safety and Hygiene are strictly adhered to. * Ensuring that all pre-start checks are completed and to a satisfactory level * Label and machine checks, set up the line and conduct a visual inspection of the line, reporting any faults or damaged parts to the Engineering and Operations Manager * Operate machinery efficiently & minimise downtime where possible. * Support Technical department in writing SOP’s where required and cascading training on updated or new SOP’s to the production teams. * Work closely with Technical and QA’s to ensure appropriate standards are being consistently met and SOP’s are being followed. * Ensure your production team follow break schedules and are maintaining good timekeeping practices * Conduct regular inventory checks, maintaining basic standard stock levels for your production line and employee facilities. Liaising with Planning to order any replacements items. * Completing KPI Spreadsheets and production level reporting * Achieving set Production KPI’s, targets and output quality levels. Help identify any trends and provide potential solutions or suggestions on efficiency improvements. Skills and experience: * The successful candidate will ideally have a FMCG background however this is not essential but must have experience of working within a production environment ideally on a line * You must of set up some form of production line and completed basic maintenance duties * Ability to work well under pressure and to think outside the box. * Own transport is essential due to location of the company.
