This is a newly developed role, created due to growth in the business and compliance team. You will take responsibility for the administration within the Compliance team, and support its subsequent pillars (UK advisory, Regulatory, Financial Crime and International Advisory) through the work undertaken.

This is a generalist role, offering excellent exposure to Compliance and if wanted, a real opportunity to gain experience and develop with the role.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities Maintenance of important compliance registers Distribution of essential compliance emails from external parties to broker contacts across the business Sending, chasing and collating information received for various compliance processes Post-boxing Complaints, ensuring necessary escalation where required New joiner and leaver administration US licensing organisation, and maintenance including oversight of outsourced provider. Proactively maintains and improves the Compliance area and documents on myBMS (company intranet) Support preparation with relevant BMS board reports for senior management. Helping maintain internal BMS compliance systems and supporting improvements. Support preparation for and coordination of internal and external audits Assist with any regulatory visits. Ad hoc administrative tasks (collecting signatures from Directors, arranging meetings, note taking) Provide support with regulatory and Lloyd’s reporting, including maintaining the business calendar and advising the team and business of upcoming deadlines.

Experience Previous administrative experience gained in an office environment (preferred but not essential) Previous exposure to compliance (preferred but not essential) Previous exposure to London Insurance market (preferred but not essential)

Personal Skills Strong team working skills alongside productive independent working Ability to communicate simply, concisely, clearly and effectively (both written & verbal). Excellent organiser, able to prioritise and meet deadlines Attention to detail and accurate record keeping. Ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner IT skills as required. An interest in compliance and regulatory affairs within the financial services industry, and a willingness to learn and develop these.
